s a community of believers gathered from many areas of the city, here to join in worship together, we bring our grief and our hopes confident that God will hear us. Images of the continued violence in Gaza fill our screens and our newspapers. The idea of peace in that place seems so remote and improbable; our prayers feel so futile, but it is all we have. So as we begin this new year we hold many hopes for the future and we lift those frightened families to you. Those convinced that fighting is the only way to solve this, we pray for them to find another way.
