Remember, 12 full days…

henever someone asks me how my Christmas was, I generally answer, “It has been good” or even, “It has been good so far…” I don’t do this simply to be mischievous (though there is at least a hint of mischief tucked in there somewhere), but rather to make the point that Christmastide is fully 12 days long. We really should be keeping this festal season right up through to January 6, when we hit the Feast of the Epiphany on which the story of the visit of the magi is told. Did you notice that the festal season of Christmas is followed by yet another feast? In spite of the cold, this is a very good season indeed.

And so, to keep us grounded in Christmas, here is a wonderful sample of some of the music offered in worship on Christmas Eve, 2010. Thanks to Al Fehr, Trish Vrolijk, Bill Derksen, Davis Plett, Stephanie Hildebrandt, Krista Wiebe, and Larry Campbell for leading us that night.
