Bread in the Wilderness: Meditation #1

very Wednesday during this season of Lent, our community is joining together with the congregation of All Saints Church for a simple 7:00pm evening liturgy. The theme of these evenings is “bread in the wilderness,” and we’ve invited five different people from saint benedict’s table to offer reflections on their own experiences of finding “bread” in unexpected times and places.

The first reflection in our series was offered on March 16 by Jamie Howison, in which he told the story of how a young woman’s battle with terminal cancer became for him a moment of surprising grace.

  1. Byron says:

I have not shed a tear in a very long time Jamie. After this I cannot say that for another very long time. What bravery she showed, and you as well.
