Prayers of the People | July 8

Everlasting God, we pray for Your church. Set our hearts on Christ and set our minds on holy things. May we not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed daily by Your offering of grace and love.

Lord in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

Almighty God we pray for the needs of the world. Defend those who love justice, defend those who are oppressed. Grant hope to the hopeless and rest for those in war. Guide all leaders into righteousness and all people into peace.

Lord in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

Heavenly Father, we pray for the parish of St Benedicts Table. Revive Your people that we may rejoice in You. Let us not become weary of doing good but may God’s love remain in each of us.

Lord in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

Loving Father, we pray for those who suffer. Deliver Your people who grieve and grant them rest. May Your unfailing love be their comfort.
We name aloud now those known to us who suffer:
For those spoken and those forgotten, Lord in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

Everlasting God, we pray for those who have died, Comfort those who grieve their loss and accept Your servants into Your heavenly home. We praise You for you have conquered death and through You we live.

Lord in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

Almighty God, let us hold onto the hope we profess for You have promised to be faithful and in You is our redemption. We ask all these things through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
