News | for the week of November 4

The readings for Sunday November 11 are Hebrews 9:24-28 and Mark 12:38-44.

The Sunday 4pm liturgy gathers on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month through the fall, with the next one happening on November 18. This 40 minute liturgy is geared to families with younger children, but is certainly welcoming to people of all ages.

The Emotional Wellness Network – Tuesday November 13, 7 – 8:30pm in the chapel at All Saints – A discussion stemming from the article “Where Was God? – Responding to the rage caused by childhood sexual abuse.” The purposed of these gatherings is to provide support and connection opportunities for those facing mental/emotional challenges, and for those who have friends or family members who are facing such challenges. ideaExchange – November 6, 7:30pm – Dr. Cathy Campbell – ”Radically Hospitable: Being Church in the midst of Neighbourhood Renewal.” In this session, Cathy will outline the challenges and theology behind converting St Matthew’s Anglican Church – an unsustainable church building in West Central Winnipeg – into a multi-purpose complex called The WestEnd Commons. The session takes place at “The Folk Exchange,” a multi-use performance space located in the Exchange district at 211 Bannatyne Avenue at Albert Street.

Hear the Silence – Saturday November 17, 7pm at the church – a liturgy of music, prayer, readings, and stillness led by Gord Johnson and Larry Campbell. And looking ahead another month, our Advent version of Hear the Silence is set for Saturday December 15.
