A new take on an old hymn

A new take on an old hymn

Funny thing about a classic hymn like “Amazing Grace”; just when you thought you’d heard it – or sung it – enough times to last a lifetime, someone offers up a new rendition that brings it back to life. In this case it is Al Fehr’s great gospel-soaked arrangement, which was used at the end of our Sunday evening worship on February 12.

With the help of Charles Garinger, Andrew Colman, Larry Campbell, Stephanie Hildebrandt and Trish Vrolijk, Al served up a very tasty version to send us on our way. And as you listen, from time to time you’ll hear the creaking of Larry’s chair, giving evidence that this really was a live-off-the-floor recording…
