He is risen!

He is risen!

For our celebration of Easter, we were delighted to have Alana Levandoski back with us leading our music. With Larry Campbell on bass and vocals, Davis Plett on electric guitar, and Catherine Pate and Callaway Stephanson-Pate on vocals, Alana got us really singing out on this Easter song written by Gord Johnson.

In the morning

On the third day

When the sun shone

On a brand new dawning

Sister Mary rose up early

And she wondered

Who would roll away the stone?

(Who’d have known?)

Then the whole earth shook and the stone gave way

there was nothing in the tomb where the Lord had laid

the angels sang and the rocks cried out

the saints joined in with a mighty shout

The sinners danced to the good news call

that the crucified Christ wasn’t dead at all

the mountains sang and the skies rejoiced

they all came together with one great voice

He is risen

He is risen

Alleluia, Christ is risen

Alleluia, He is risen from the dead

He is risen

Alleluia, Christ is risen

Alleluia

Alleluia

(Gord Johnson)

Alana is in town for a week or two, doing some recording for her new album; more information on that project is available by clicking here.
