Jenny Moore’s “Bound Up”

Jenny Moore’s “Bound Up”

Having quoted Jenny Moore’s wonderful song “Bound Up” in the sermon on Sunday April 21, I thought it a good idea to post the song in its entirety. It is part of a collection of seven songs Jenny recorded for us shortly before she moved to England several years ago… a collection which bears the kind of title only Jenny could have come up with: Songs for listening to on the train with an excellent set of headphones and an ambivalent heart. If you’re interested in purchasing a copy, you can do so through our online store.

this flock is groaning something bad,

we’re so good at turning back

but we’ll be bound up,

we’ll be strengthened

we’ll all be fed and we’ll be found

this flock is hurting something bad

we’re wandering out in this barren land

hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

we’ll be found

Several of Jenny’s songs have now become saint ben’s standards, including “Be Our Light,” “I am Coming for You,” and “Pass the Cup Around,” all of which are included in our 2006 collection We Will Not Be Silent, which is available in CD format and as an iTunes download.
