Music from Christmas Eve

Music from Christmas Eve

Some music from our Christmas Eve celebrations, in which we had Murray Krushel sit down at that grand old pipe organ and accompany a circle of musicians and singers. We’ve been at All Saints for coming up to ten years now, but this was the first time we’ve ever actually used that organ in worship. Blending the traditional sound of the pipe organ with our more usual guitars, bass, piano, viola, and singers really worked nicely, and it seemed to inspire the congregation to sing out in a wonderful way.

Up first is a series of three carols: “Hark the herald angels sing,” “Angels we have heard on high,” and “O come, all ye faithful.”

Next is the version of “Go tell it on the mountain,” with which we brought the liturgy to a close. Make sure you listen to this one right through to the very end…
