Music from communion

Sunday June 22 found us all really singing out during communion, with two songs written by Gord Johnson, followed by the classic hymn “It is well with my soul” written by Horatio Spafford and Philip Bliss. The music ensemble for the evening was led by Larry Campbell, and included Charles Garinger on bass and vocals, Rob Burton on electric guitar and percussion, Tatiana Friesen on viola and vocals, Lyndon James on piano and vocals, and both Nicole Jasper and Rachel McEwan on vocals.

We were particularly delighted that Nicole could join us during her rather brief visit back in Winnipeg, to take the lead voice on this really quite meditative version of “It is well with my soul”.
