Psalm 130:5 | a new song by Jaylene Johnson

On Sunday June 7, Jaylene Johnson introduced this new song based on Psalm 130:5. Leading with her were Adam Kroeker on bass and vocals, Judith Newsom on violin, Bel Derksen on vocals, and Davis Plett on electric guitar.

The recording picks up part way into the song, though because it is offered in the contemplative style inspired by the music of the Taize community, you still get a really good sense of how it worked to draw us into a place of stillness.

Wait for the Lord

My soul waits for the Lord

My soul waits for the Lord

My soul waits for the Lord

And in His word

In His word

In His word

I hope…
