Your Steadfast Love

Your Steadfast Love

This past Sunday – the third in the season of Lent – found us reading Psalm 63, which inspired Charles Garinger to set to work on this new song. With some co-writing help from Larry Campbell and Jeremy Yuen, “Your Steadfast Love” was ready to offer as communion was shared. Rob Burton (electric guitar), Judith Newsom (violin) and Jodi Penner (vocals) joined Charles (guitar and vocals), Larry (bass and vocals) and Jeremy (percussion) in leading us in this song.

O God, you are my God

I seek you

My soul thirsts for you

In a dry and weary land

Where there is no water

O God, you are my God

I seek you

My flesh faints for you

In a dry and weary land

Where there is no water

Because your steadfast love

Is better than life

And by your steadfast love

My soul is satisfied

(Garinger, Campbell, Yuen)
