Darkness brings feelings of cold and loneliness.  Light holds the promise of warmth and company.

People in darkness often find themselves drawn towards light.  When the light is found in an unexpected place, it has an even stronger effect.

    When Sean first showed me this photograph, I immediately thought we had to run it as an Advent image. Unconventional, sure, but talk about speaking of light coming into the darkness. And I love the deep blue colouring, which is also very much in keeping with this season.

    Disruptive and arresting; for some reason too the texture of the pebbles on the road is especially appealing.
