Byron O’Donnell | In memory of a friend

A grand friend and a true character, Byron O’Donnell died on Easter Eve in the hospital in Dryden. We’ll be marking the end of his life in a liturgy (with lots of music) at 1pm on Monday April 24 at All Saints Church in Winnipeg. As I prepare for that memorial liturgy, I thought it important to share three videos of Byron’s music here on the website. The first is a song that gave us the title for our 2009 Beautiful Mercy book project, the second is a grand tune called “The River Jordan,” and the third is a video from Signpost Music, in which Steve Bell sings "He Will Know” and then offers a recording of a song he just discovered called “A Reason for it All.”

Byron, may you rest in peace and rise in glory.

Jamie Howison
