Makoto Fujimura: slow art

For our June 29 edition of Theology by the Glass we will be taking a look at some of the art and thought of the visual artist Makoto Fujimura. Earlier in 2021, Mako (as he is often called) published a beautiful book titled Art + Faith: A Theology of Making, about which Rowan Williams commented, “This brief, very crisply and lucidly written book makes a brilliantly and distinctly personal contribution to the ongoing discussions around faith and the creative imagination.”

We begin at 7:30pm, and you can join at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89127172863 or 204 272 7920

Also up for consideration at our gathering will be an address titled Kintsugi Generation, originally delivered at the 2019 Judson University Commencement ceremony.

Please do consider joining us for this session. If the COVID-19 restrictions allow, we will try to organize this as an outdoor gathering, otherwise we’ll meet on Zoom. That information will be posted closer to June 29.
